Fabricated Well-being:

Technical Developments.

Many of the sensory clothing products on the market feature seams on the outside of the garments rather than the inside to avoid irritation. I have started to explore different ways to neatly link seams on the outside of knitted garments. The first method I considered was covering the seam with a sandwich trim, although this worked, it looks bulky and could still cause the wearer some discomfort.

I then considered using a rolled edge; When shaping the garment piece this edging was created by leaving a section of single bed knitting at either edge of the fabric. The finish of this method was much neater than the sandwich trim.
